Honestly, im not too sure about OTHER ASIAN men....but im sure.... SINGAPOREAN men desperately need Dr Date's help..... People always said that men has the deciding power... but I think singaporean men are such a pussy that they lack it.... or maybe they are AFRAID to decide.....If a girl ask a simple question like "where do you want to go?" 80% of them will ask the girl to choose where they like to go.... they probably thought it might be a 'safe' answer.... but the girl think likewise..... if this is a first date... it had left a bad impression... i bet you that the girl will bitch to her friend that the guy she just dated is soooooooo indecisive.....

singaporean men simply don't take the lead whenever they are around girls... they are afraid to make mistakes... but what they don't know is that the more they keep it 'safe'.... the shit they get into.....gets deeper..... they just don't understand.....

i've met singaporean men who scored distinction in their studies.... but still behave and think like a kid....... so what's the point of scoring As..... but scoring a F in social life????

recently.. i read a forum on singaporean girls going for Caucasian men.....singaporean men is always blaming on that....... but never see the problem in them.... i love the reply from a guy name 'slumdog' he said that "when they saw a pretty girl in a pub, singaporean men simply don't have the BALLS to take the initiative" you know what... that is SOOOOOO true.... i've been to pubs with my male friends... and when they see a pretty girl or 'chio bu' in their context... they simply refused to move their butt and just sit and stare....... on the other hand.... if it is any random Caucasian guy, he will probably seize the opportunity to start a conversion..... see what i mean??? people... you should always take the initiative.....

singaporean men really should move out of their comfort zone........ build up their confidence.. and make the first move..... and be decisive.......

Honestly in my case.... i've only date one singaporean guy.... and im happy with him...... I don't know if I have the right to judge or criticise singaporean men.... but I've dated non-singaporean and non-chinese before.... and i can tell the difference....... and living with 5 guys now..... i can tell you that in my opinion.... whatever i've said above is soooo true...... the guys here.. still have the child in them...... and im lucky that the guy with me now... stood out from them.... but still alittle like the typical type... just a little... (or was it??) watever.... LOL

whatever i said above...happens to majority of the singaporean men population.... not all.... but still thanks to our govt and education system.... we become like that!! but... we should not let it come to us... we should CHANGE!! as for me...... im in the processing of CHANGING!!!

Weird Habit

Do you actually believe that you can roughly gauge how the person is like just by observing the behaviour during a meal? LOL.... i guess it might work though or maybe not.... just the kind of strict upbringing I have at home i guess that i kinda develop such weird habit of observing people having their meal.... *transfixed*

Imagine those people were to have a meal at my place...I bet they will receive the most annoyed and disgusted face as a gift for 1st impression and will not be welcome the next time... LOL...

FRUSTRATED & DISAPPOINTED!

its only been a few days....yet it seems yesterday.....don't understand why... when you have just push it back... hide it...stuffed it somewhere out there... someone... somebody..always like to dig it up...like to remind you..all the pain that you had suffered..all the tears you had shed and all the disappointment you had experience....

but why do i always have to chance upon it.. the happiness that people could enjoy and the misery that i had to endure??? why do i have the torture feeling?? when can happiness embrace me again???

but im annoyed with myself... annoyed that i can't forget about it.... angry that i keep reminding myself...furious that i let it haunt me... frustrated that it did not happen as i expected.... WHY??? i make the first move... i make it known to you.. i did not beat around the bush... i was straightforward with my answer.... why don't you get it??? why do you have to disappoint me again and again and AGAIN! why??? why do you have to do that to me????? simply don't understand.....

Something is bugging

5 hours of sleep..and i woke up..thoughts can back to haunt me....raining heavily now...perfect weather to sleep in....and im awake...with the same thoughts....something is indeed bugging me... a decision to be made....a burden to be taken of me...before i can move on.... i gotta move on.... time is short...

slogging through 6 pages of reading....struggling to complete...struggling to concentrate... struggling to forget..... struggling not to be disappointment.... and i start to realize..... how my friends had move up the line.... the now become part of my life..... im so fortunate to have them.. words of encouragement... words of comfort.... words that they will be there for me...said that they missed me....

dreaded the day to come... coz i know what will be there for me...wat you will provide me... knowing that there will be disappointment yet again... i never thought it will be this bad... it will be that upsetting... i thought i could handle it.. i thought i could be fine... but yet...i never thought i could not handle it.....

wanting to stand out in the light...yet friends had push me back in the dark.... wanted to say it out.. yet friends pushed it in....... silently.... i stepped away.... i thought you will be like me... full of surprise..... trying to add spices to our life....but no.....disappointment had crawled up to me.... and i knew it..yet i could not handle it...

its a thought i could not shake it off......since the time i woke up...i had been thinking..... thinking of the surprise that i could expect... thinking of the surprise that i could receive....lecture is just like TV show...it just keep showing showing.....tutorial is just a play... keep playing and playing... and i was not absorbing...still thinking.....i stopped myself from having the thoughts..but i couldn't keep it behind my head....thoughts keep haunting.....

i told myself to push it off the back....coz if i don't i will expect disappointment..... and true to words.... it all came true... i waited and waited... feel sadder and sadder.. getting more and more upset.... picking up the phone and dial for comfort.... im so glad that you guys are always there for me....

im so taken aback that my sis actually bought buy an expensive gift for me.....a student... using her pocket money to buy a gift for me.... really touched me... something small... and expensive for her to do that.. yet she did it... it will forever sit in my heart...joy that will last for a lifetime... sitting next to my bed..it reminds me of home.... reminds me of the times back home.......

disappointed...but yet....im glad that someone out there.. have a thought of me.... remember and bother to do something.....

For now.....im still trying to shake the thoughts of out my head...i never know it will spill over to following day.. i thought once i woke up...it will be fine.. i never know it will last that long....i never know i will be tha disappointment.... in this few years... disappointment has always been there.. i never know why.... i thought i should be happy... yet when i think back.... its full of disappointment and regret..... i have no idea why..... happy moment should fill it up.. but no.. it did not... its still there... i can feel it.... how can i remove it??? how can i push it back??? how can anyone help???? what can i do???

Brisbane has been declared a natural disaster area, as soldiers and prisoners help repair damage caused by one of the biggest storms to hit the city in two decades.

About 30,000 properties across Brisbane, Redcliffe and the Gold Coast were without power on Monday afternoon after Sunday's storm brought hail and wind gusts of up to 130km/h, unroofed homes and toppled power lines and trees.

Emergency authorities said up to 4,000 homes were damaged, with 300 homes "significantly damaged" and 30 deemed unlivable.

While most areas received 40mm to 60mm of rain, Ferny Hills, in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane received 80mm, 69mm of which fell in the space of 30 minutes on Sunday afternoon.
A 20-year-old man was killed when he was swept away by quickly rising water while photographing the storm in a drain with a 23-year-old friend at Chermside, in Brisbane's northern suburbs.

Premier Anna Bligh compared the disaster to Cyclone Larry, which devastated north Queensland in 2006.

Acting Prime Minister Julia Gillard activated natural disaster relief and recovery arrangements, including the deployment of more than 100 chainsaw-equipped soldiers, and pledged to cover half of the state government's clean-up costs.

"The public rightly expects all levels of government to work closely together in times of need so that the community can bounce back quickly," Ms Gillard said.

"The government's thoughts are with the thousands of families that have been caught up in this disaster and most particularly with the family of the young man who tragically lost his life."
Lord Mayor Campbell Newman said 1,200 people, including emergency services personnel, Energex staff, Queensland police and the army, were working on the clean-up.

Police recruits and 20 low-level security prisoners were also involved in the effort, the state government said.

"Nothing like this has happened to the city for at least 10 years," Mr Newman said.

"Perhaps it goes back to 1985 with a very big storm back in those days."

He said Energex had recorded 576 cases of toppled powerlines.

Some homes are expected to remain without power for another 48 hours.

The city council has warned residents in western Brisbane to boil their water or buy bottled water after a bird dropping-coated roof collapsed into a reservoir at The Gap - the worst-hit area of the city.
Transport services are expected to remain disrupted into Tuesday and traffic lights are out at many intersections.

Ms Bligh said families severely affected by the storm were eligible for a cash assistance payment of up to $765 and individuals could claim $165.

"These are just the immediate cash payments for people who have literally got nothing, for people who need to buy food for their children or buy clothes," she said.

Ms Bligh said some people would not be able to return home for weeks. Police patrols are being boosted to deter looters.

Ms Bligh said up to 4,000 insurance claims had already been made but this would grow.

She also warned more storms were expected to hit south-east Queensland on Thursday.
Two Catholic schools badly damaged by the storms, St Andrew's at Ferny Grove and St Peter Chanel at The Gap, will remain closed until at least Wednesday, school authorities say.

how time flies...9mths has come and goes just like that.... can't believe im going back to the workforce soon.... this 9mths is really fruitful and enriching...i've learn so much outside the textbook. frm culture to politics..yes..politics.....it started w the debate w hillary clinton vs Obama.. how interesting...history in making...the 1st female president to be and 1st black president to be... and to the debate of obama vs McCain....how McCain make a fool of himself on national TV....and the tears of the african american who finally see the light and hope....and to the world...who is now stepping into a new change......

honestly...i think our neighbour shld start to change...and we can see frm the release of RPK and how the court disagree with the ISA......recently..saw the news featuring teresa kok, a chinese politician in our neighbouring country....i have to take my hat's off her....the bravery and tolerance despite all those criticism slamming on her.... honestly i think they too need a change....

my 3rd paper of this yr....started at 8am this morning..and guess wat..im up at 4.45am....LOL.. having some difficulty to sleep..this time is not abt stress..is really can't sleep....
REASON: i sleep at 4am...so u think i can sleep at 12am meh...LOL....been tossing and turning in my bed...then binbin woke me up at 4.40am...nua till abt 5am lo...

5am and its so bright and sunny...just like 8.30am in SG...coz spring-summer le ma...sun early early come out...LOL.....

the paper is so f*** up today....1st..she did not provide a t-table, no durbin-watson table, mistakes w a few qn....can't understand a single word that french lecturer announce coz of her accent..and another lady gotta repeat wat she say... and lastly..after so long...she finally announce that we don't have to do Q9 for mcq...wat the hell.....set paper till like that HUH HUH..

anyway...the short ans was relatively easy...guess the difficult part is w the MCQs...had to say its really tricky...imagine all those stats term put in word and blah blah... *stunned* but still not as stunning as corporate finance....finish my paper in abt 1hr...but still insufficient to check thru my work..coz that mcq is driving me nuts.....

i had to say....this is the worst day in my entire academic life...never in my life..had i studied so hard and long for a course....sacrifice my revision time for my last 2 papers.....struggling through one semester trying to understand this course...and when i finally sit down to start on the paper... i was thrown off COMPLETELY! 4 questions, involving mainly of calculations....15 marks each....i had only one word to describe it.... *HELL*.....

i had to say..the questions are easy to understand..but when it comes to part a, b or c...i have no idea how to start..1st 20mins of the time....i was honestly struggling to gather my thoughts and put down whatever i can... glancing over to my side...i saw this girl struggling hard to write something...and i could peep that she did not even start on her answer sheet... *sigh* wat startled me was that she raise up her hand and request to give up..... *stunned*

alrite..this shows that i wasn't the only one LOST among the questions....looking ard me... quite a number of people left in like 45mins? which is pretty impossible coz it will absolutely take longer than 45mins to complete the whole paper.....

throughout that space of 2 hours..i spend like 60% of the time pondering wat im suppose to do with the question...and i will never forget Q3...i had never seen that questions ever in my tutorial, past yrs and lecture notes..i really wonder where the HELL it came from. *faint* im totally thrown off, depressed and had the iimpulse to tear that paper up.....

finally that horrible 2hours went pass.....i went up to my friends and started to %#@#@% abt the paper..MAN..i wasn't the only one...relief but piss..and know what..that last qn was worth 15marks..no part a or b to it.....and i only finish off with 3 steps of calculations...i couldn't believe what i had done..but i was DESPERATE....... and you will never know how relief i was when i compared my final ans with my friend..... *finger cross* i just hope to scrap through.... this course is so disappointing..the amount of time and effort i put in...simply doesn't pay off...... *sigh*

the worst is finally off...left with 2 more papers...but im so relief...the moment i finish up my supper....i went unconscious till 12.30pm today....it was the longest i had ever sleep since like 2 weeks??? corporate finance has made me lost so much sleep and appetite..... suppose to meet up w my friends to sunnybank..but that plan was blown off..due to some circumstances.....but anyway..either im sleeping too much or i still lack of sleep..my head was throbbing the whole day.... oh yeah..and when i thought corporate finance is over....this grp of singaporean were discussing abt yesterday paper which caught my ears...and YES..i agree with u that qn 3 is 'what the f***" me too never seen that questions before... *sigh* wats over is over...lets just keep our fingers crossed......

after i had that hairy chicken wing at hawken..i went back and was unconscious again.. GOSH!! can't believe how much i slept today.... i had another peaceful 3 hours before im up watching transporter 2...jason stalham is simply gorgeous....his voice is simply so ahem good.. LOL.....

my problem of insomnia is always very bad when it comes to exam period.... toss and turn my way to sleep at 5am in the morning....spend most of my time talking to kelvin..forcing him to be awake......hahaha....i think im torturing him whenever i can't sleep....think im so used to finding someone to sleep w me.... still remember those days when i can't sleep..i will snuggle up to my parents' bed and squeeze w them...if not will squeeze my way to my sis bed...single bed wor..imagine can squeeze 2 big kid..LOL.....

now i have to try and coax myself to bed......bringing my beloved bears closed to me..gosh..think i need more stuff toys..if not the next 2 exams i will have problem again.... *sigh* wat kind of sleeping method is this? LOL...

guess its kinda mentally draining when i had just wrote a 9pages long worth of 3 essays... simply no idea wat im writing.......spend days memorising those facts and theory....and all screwed up coz of a 30% essay...i simply can't accept the fact......my essay isn't worth wat it is..... *argh* this is SOO frustrating.......
